Shelterbelt workshop and farm walk
Shelterbelt workshop and farm walk
The Landcare community has been planting shelterbelts for a long time. What have we learnt and how have ideas changed?
Meet at the Illabo Sporting Bodies Hall to hear about the latest research into shelterbelt design and management:
- Owen Whitaker from Natural Capital is a native vegetation specialist and will discuss natural features and practical aspects of restoration works
- Sustainable Farms ecologist Dr Richard Beggs will discuss ecological research that you can apply on-ground to maximise environmental benefits
- Dr John Broster from Charles Sturt University will deepen your knowledge on increasing lamb survival with shelterbelts
Following the presentations, join us for an on-farm paddock walk and lunch (provided).
RSVP essential – register below. For further information contact Kathie Le Busque, Sustainable Farms Engagement Officer, on 0408 443 261.
