Kassel Hingee
Research Assistant, Spatial Statistics
Kassel joined the Sustainable Farms team in 2019 and is developing biodiversity predictions for large agricultural regions.
Kassel has a background in spatial statistics, mathematics and remote sensing. He is familiar with computer programming and managing large data sets. His PhD focused on quantitative summaries of spatial maps and he is the author of the R package ‘lacunaritycovariance’, which computes a fractal summary statistic from covariance estimates. Kassel is interested in using geospatial data for broad region environmental analysis, and is glad to be part of the growing movement for sustainable land use methods.
