Eleanor Lang
Biodiversity Field Officer (Cowra)
Eleanor comes from a broadacre wool and cropping farm in Victoria’s Western District. She has a background in sustainable waste management and climate change adaptation in agricultural landscapes and communities, including field work in Vietnam assisting farmers to adapt to climate change through closed-loop farming systems.
Eleanor worked in the sustainability team at Austin Health before joining Sustainable Farms as the Cowra-based Biodiversity Field Officer, where she assists with the grazing studies as well as the wider Sustainable Farms projects. Outside of work, Eleanor is involved with BirdLife and Landcare groups, and assists freshwater turtle conservation on farms. She is passionate about the significant role agriculture can have in conservation and land restoration, in harmony with productive farming, and hopes to continue applying learnings to her own family property.
